Guest List Tips

Traditionally, the guest list for a wedding is divided in four heads; bride's family, groom's family, bride's list and groom's list .
Check your personal phone book, business cards and greeting cards and involve family members while compiling the guest list.
To avoid duplication of common friends, discuss the list with the other set of parents.
Since all guests are unlikely to be present at all ceremonies, it is advisable to prepare separate guest lists
It is important to know the number of guests likely to attend, to enable planning of venue, accommodation, catering and finances. Alternatively, if you have a fixed budget, it helps to prune down the list.
Make a consolidated list of invitees with complete postal address and telephone   numbers at least six months in advance.
